Euh, plus concrètement, tu as essayé ? En principe les distros récentes gèrent bien le SATA. Tu as des messages d'erreur ?

Tu as un RAID matériel visiblement ? Quels disques apparaissent lors de l'installation ? Est-ce que tu vois ton volume RAID ?

Pour la notification par mail, vérifie que la case est bien cochée lorsque tu écris le message, puis vérifie ton adresse mail dans tes préférences...

Oui c'est bien du raid matériel.

Mandriva trouve mon controleur de disque (Nvidia CK804 i je me souviens bien) c'est un chip nForce4 Mais çà plante durant l'instalation du pilote donc du coup, je ne vois aucun disque.

Voici le message d'erreur:

Visiblement il a pas réussi à installer le module dans le noyau...

Je touche pas trop bien ces histoires de module encore...

Un module c'est ce qui permet d'accèder au matériel (un pilote en gros, c'est tout ce que je sais et encore, j'espère ne pas raconter n'importe quoi)

Désolé mais je ne vois pas comment résoudre ton problème, si ce n'est essayer une autre distribution, au moins pour vérifier que ton contrôleur est bien reconnu par Linux...
Quelqu'un plus doué que moi saura sans doute t'éclairer.

J'ai gravé la version 64 bits de mandriva sur cd et 'ai pu installer linux.
Je pense que mon proble de error insmod'ing venait d'une mauvise gravure.

Bravo les DVD primeon (pour in fo c'est de la second pass du boulot).

Enfin maintenant j'ai un kernel panic donc c'est pas encore tout à fait régler.
d'après ce que j'ai compris, linux n'arrive pas à monter mon système de fichier, étonnant puisqu'il a réussi à enregistré les fichiers sur mon disque lors de l'installation....

J'ai tenté la distribution Ubuntu, mais il ne détecte pas mes disques en raid 0. Au lieu de celà, il détecte mes deux disques sans les partitions qui figurent dessus.

J'ai donc réessayer avec un distrib Mandriva 2006 (version 64 bits) sur 3CDs cette fois-ci, j'ai réussi a installer sans souci sur l'espace libre que j'avais réservé pour linux lors de l'install de windows.

Mais un gros soucis persiste. Linux plante au démarrage car il n'arrive pas à monté ma partition root.
Et j'ai le message suivant:
"kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

J'obtien ce message quelque soit le niveau de lancement de linux:

linux
linux-nonfb (au fait çà sert à quoi)
failsafe

Est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'aider?

L'install se passe bien c'est que déjàs linux peut voir ET utiliser le RAID matériel

Maintenant quand je boot çà plante avec kernel panic... (voir plus haut)

Si je suis suffisament logique (j'espère l'être) çà voudrait dire que mon noyau pré-compilé de Mandriva ne possède pas les modules nécessaire à la reconnaissance du raid,non?

Je pense être obligé de recompilé mon noyau en installant d'abord Linux sur un autre disque dur

c'est à dire qu'il necessite un drivers, que tu installes en faisant F6? sous win.

Je pense que ce genre de raid n'est pas supporté par linux(sans aucune certitude)
Il faut, je crois, choisir dans ce cas là un raid logiciel...
ou mettre une carte controleur pour faire du vrai raid materiel.
