Hi
I have a Debian stable - Linux version 2.6.32-5-vserver-686-bigmem (Debian 2.6.32-20) (gcc version 4.3.5 (Debian 4.3.5-2) ) #1 SMP Thu Aug 12 17:21:32 UTC 2010, KDE 3.5.10.
Since last update it fails on every second or third boot trial with this in syslog:
Sep 13 08:15:20 proliant kernel: [ 48.421009] Uhhuh. NMI received for unknown reason b1 on CPU 0.
Sep 13 08:15:20 proliant kernel: [ 48.421013] You have some hardware problem, likely on the PCI bus.
Sep 13 08:15:20 proliant kernel: [ 48.421015] Dazed and confused, but trying to continue
Sep 13 08:17:01 proliant /USR/SBIN/CRON[4025]: (root) CMD ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.hourly)
The mouse works but nothing executable, no Kmenu and no console, even crtl_shift_fn. Have to switch power off to reboot until it succeeds.
Beside I have a Squeeze version that always boots correctly.
Any help greatly appreciated.
