Probleme lancement Emacs

Bijour.
Je suis sous Suse 10 et apres l'install de emacs 21.4, ce dernier ne se lance que dans la fenetre meme du terminal et non dans sa propre fenetre.
Donc non acces a "Fichier" "Edition" "Affichage" etc de emacs lui meme, acces à ceux du terminal.
un "emacs&" le fait planter tout simplement.
Please help.

Non, xemacs est une variante différente de emacs (un peu comme vile ou vim ou elvis par rapport à vi).
Mais sous Debian il y a des paquets différents emacs et emacs-nox qui fournissent d'une part un emacs sous X, et d'autre part (pour emacs-nox) un emacs en mode console.

Tu n'est pas logué sous le compte d'un autre user avec "su" ??

je conseille d'installer le paquet emacs de votre distribution.
Si vous le compilez vous-même, n'oubliez pas l'option --with-x-toolkit à ./configure

bon allors j'ai lacher laffaire... car mm avec la solution de l'option de ./configure c mort ca marcher pas.
Enfin bon, j'ai installer donc la version 21.3 mais afin d'installer l'interface slime sous emacs il me faut la version 21.4 et je galere pr mettre a jour emacs. mm avec yast2 et mon ami google.
Aurait-il moyen d'avoir une solution simple pr installer cette mise a jour???
