probleme reboot

Bonjour à tous !!

Assidu à windows depuis 10 ans (par obligation), je viens de franchir le pas Linuxien en installant Mandriva 2006 sur mon portable...et j'en suis très content !!! (je ne demande qu'a apprendre !!)

L'install s'est parfaitement éffectuée (meme le wi-fi a été parametré sans problemes, mieux que sous XP !!!!)
Seul hic, quand je veux rebooter, lorsque je ferme ma session, Linux se "decharge" (je sais pas si c'est le bon terme...) correctement, mais a l'apparition du message "please wait while rebooting" (ou qque chose comme ca), plus rien ne se passe...ecran noir, et pas de reboot. En soi, rien de très grave, je fais un reboot manuel, mais bon, j'aimerai bien que tout marche bien moi !!

J'ai entendu parler de problemes de gestion de l'ACPI avec des portables, mais je ne sais pas trop configurer ca avec linux (total Newbie...)

Ma config: portable Sony vgn A517B, pentium M 740 (1,80 ghz), 512 ddr2, DD 80go, ati radeon mobility X600, lecteur/graveur DVD.

Mes partitions:
c: 15 go NTFS - partition XP
d: 40 go NTFS - partition linux (linux, /home, et swap) et stockages données "non éxécutables" (musique, films, iso...)
g: 10 go FAT32 - partition pour échanges linux/xp


voila, en esperant pouvoir resoudre ce probleme...je suis ouvert a toutes vos suggestions !! (pas trop complexes par pitié, je maitrise l'environnement windows, mais total newbie - qui ne demande qu'a apprendre - sous Linux)

Je precise que ce probleme ne s'applique qu'a la fonction redemarrer, l'extinction du PC fonctionne très bien !!
