J'ai mis à jour ma Debian (3.1r2) vers la dernière version de testing disponible (celle du 1/09 si je ne me trompe)

Tout c'est bien déroulé, sauf en ce qui concerne:

1) X, la migration de Xfree à Xorg a échoué, quand je fais un startx j'obtiens ceci:

Pour résoudre le problème j'ai voulu réinstallé le driver Nvidia, l'opération a échoué, j'ai un message me signalant que la version de GCC utilisée pour le driver est différente de celle du systeme (4.1).

Par après j'ai tenté la solution radicale: suppression complète de X et de KDE, réinstallation des deux et reconfiguration de xserver-xorg, pour un résultat identique au lancement de startx

---> il m'annonce Xfree86 et non Xorg (!!) alors que la commande que j'ai entré est vim xorg.conf :-/


Que faire ? réinstallé complètement le système en Testing me parait la soluce la plus facile et évidente mais la moins enrichissante pour l'apprentissage (surtout que le reste de la maj n'a apparament pas posé problème).
