Bonjour,

As-tu essayé avec yum ? il eciste des packages précompilés des drivers ati et nvidia pour chaque noyau dispo. Tu trouvera ca chez livna. Si ta config de yum est correcte tu peux taper un yum instal fglrx-xxx...

merci j'ai utilisé yum en suivant les instructions sur fedorafaq,le driver est installé mais lorsque j'accede au control panel il me dit ca :

"Driver does not provide the firegl X11 extensions! Panel components will operate only partially."

Et j'ai seulement droit au reglages sortie tv et reglages ecran et rien d'autre!!!

Comment faire pour avoir le reste ???

Est-ce que la 3D fonctionne deja :

glxinfo (en root) ca donne quoi ? DRI = YES ?

Effectivement : "direct rendering: No"

Ben faudrait voir ton fichier de config /etc/X11/xorg.conf

et puis la log de lancement de X : /var/log/x.log ou quelque chose comme ca. La log te dira ce qui a planté et le fichier de config nous dira si tu as les options pour le dri.

j'ai fais un fglrxconfig ,mais toujours pas d'acceleration 3d ,et du coup maintenant j'arrive plus a changer la resolution sauf si je remet le xorg.conf d'origine... Le driver ati serait foireux?

La prochaine fois que tu colles des fichiers comme cela colle leur contenu entre les balises code :



Grace au bouton "code", colle ton texte sélectionne le et cliques sur le bouton "code"

La log a l'air de dire que ton driver n'est pas compatible avec la version de ton noyo. IL parle d'un fglrx 8.14.13 T'as pas une veriosn précédement installée du driver par hasard ?

Tu devrais essayer avec
Option "UseInternalAGPGART" "no"

Afin d'utiliser le mmodule AGP du noyau plutôt que celui d'ATI. Il me semble que c'est conseillé et même obligatoire pour certaine carte mère (chipset intel ?).

P.S. : pour les drivers vidéo (nvidia oou ati) il est souvent plus simple d'utiliser les versions du dépôt livna qui ne nécessite (presque) pas de configuration.

En meme temp j'ai chercher avec yumex mon driver ki etait installé et la surprise il y 2 mauvaises versions :

ati fglrx 8.16.20.1-0.lvn.1.4 et kernel-module-fglrx-2.6.11.1.1369_fc4 8.14.13.1-0.lvn.5.4

un melange de 2 versions ne peu evidement pas bien marcher! c'est surement ca mon probleme.
Yum m'a installé 2 versions differentes ....pourquoi???

C'etait bien a cause de ces deux versions differentes.

c'est bien d'avoir trouvé mais tu aurais pu donner la solution quand même parce que tu ne dois pas être le seul avec ce pb.
Perso j'ai pas mal galéré pour faire passer ma x600se mobility en 1440x900 en piochant les infos un peu partout sur le net mais comme pour ça j'ai été obligé d'utiliser le drv radeon au lieu de fglrx c pas encore parfait.
j'ai pas l'accélération 3D par ex donc ta soluce pourrait aider.

Salut tout ce que j'ai fait se trouve dans ce topic je vais te le rediger pour que ce soit plus clair. winking smiley

FEDORA CORE 4 ,radeon x800xl pci-express.

1.Installer driver fglrx 8.16.20 grace a yum (ou yumex:"yum install yumex" sur un terminal) a partir des serveurs de livna.org.

Pour installer les depots de livna :

To start using the rpm.livna.org repository in yum simply install the livna-release rpm package:

rpm -ivh [rpm.livna.org] (copier l'adresse du lien sur terminal)

site livna: [rpm.livna.org]

2.installer avec yumex les drivers fglrx correspondants a ton noyau (uname -r = version du noyau) en faisant une recherche par mot clé"fglrx" (en ayant biensur cochéle serveur de livna dans repository).
Tu verras une floppé de driver pour chaque version de noyau.
Il faudra que tu choississes "ati fglrx 8.16.20.1-0.lvn.1.4" et "kernel-module-fglrx-'version du noyau' 8.16.20.1-0.lvn.1.4" (ce dernier doit correspondre a ton noyau.)

3.Une fois installé redemarrer le systeme et faire "fglrxconfig" et configurer (le prog t'aiderai dans les choix en conseillant la lettre a marquer ex: y ou n ensuite faire "glxinfo" et normalement tu devrais avoir une ligne avec ca : "direct rendering: Yes" l'acceleration 3d est activé (je suppose que c'est ca ,en tout cas chez moi ca marche j'ai testé avec enemy territory smiling smiley )

Si tu as des problemes de resolution (ex:impossible de changer de resolution) ,edit le fichier xorg.conf a la ligne donnée.

Apparement le systeme prend toujours en compte uniquement la premiere valeur au debut cette ligne (caractere gras) il suffit de taper ce que tu veux comme resolution.

Question pourquoi prends tu une resolution aussi exotique? (1440x900)

ps: les drivers de chez ati sont vraiment minables ,meme pas de quoi changer l'anisotropie,ni la qualité des textures....et pour l'antialiasing on est obliger d'editer le xorg.conf a moins que le jeu le propose en option.Sinon encore heureux que tv on/off existe dans le panneau de config ati.

Normalement, avec les packages livna pour ATI il n'y a pas besoin d'utiliser fglrxconfig (ni d'éditer le fichier xorg.conf).

L'outil ati-fglrx-config-display permet d'activer le driver en apportant les modifications nécessaires au fichier xorg.conf.

Dans le version actuelle, il y a juste un petit bug qui oblige a passer la commande en mode texte.
