Lilo pour un 2éme disque

Bonjour,
J'ai un deuxiéme disque avec une mandriva2006 je voudraitt pouvoir booter avec lilo mais, je me perd encore. voici mes disques

En fait j'ai un kernel panic lors du demarage sur le disque "Mon linux 2".
Je ne suis pas sur des numéro du disque hbd

Est ce qu'on ton fichier "/boot/initrd.img" ce trouve bien présent pour ton deuxième linux ??

Il y en a bien 1 effectivement.
Je doit rajouter mandriva à été installer sur ce 2 éme disque, alors qui était tout seul sur la nappe.
Je doit habituellement les débrancher physiquement pour y acceder, c'est pas pratique
Je pourais peut étre mettre le dvd mandriva et refaire une mise à jour il me semble qui me demande sur quel linux je veut faire une mise a jour ou nouvelle install, je ne veut surtout pas casser mon premier linux, le deuxiéme c'est moin important c'est celui qui mes sert à faire des tests,

Au démarare de l'ordi j'ai lilo graph me demande soit
linux
Faisfale
non-fsb
windows
linux-0

mais dans mon lilo.conf c'est pasque j'ai mis. ?

Pourquoi tu doit débrancher les disques ??

Parce que c'est beaucoup plus compliquer à gérer si tu débranche un disque il seras toujours pris pour /dev/hda et il y auras des incohérences pour lilo et dans le /etc/fstab.

Je debranche les disques puisque je n'ai jamais reussi à les reunir sur l'ordi et faire le choix au demarage du linux 1 ou 2 , que je veut utiliser.
Je cherche donc justement à ne pas avoir à les debrancher.
Mais je ne veut pas non plus si possible, reinstaller linux sur le deuxieme avant d'etre sur que je ne ferait pas non plus une erreur sur le premier.
Les deux sont donc actuellemnt brancher, mais je ne peut booter sur le second. qui a aussi une mandriva. ca m'en fera deux oui mais pour les test ou il m'est arrivé de faire une mauvaise mani l'autre jour par exemple j'ai pu donc recupéré une fichier "Xorg.conf" mais sans cette partition linux je n'aurai peut etre pas pu réparé.
et dans quelle temps peut etre je trouverai ma technique complétement idote pour l'instant mon niveau ne me permet pas de faire trop d'erreur ou de prendre des risque a en faire.

j'ai le choix au demarage mais pas de chance aprés le boot je n'ai pas d'image l'écran est allumé mais noir de noir.
Bon je peut revenir au 2612-12 donc pas d'allarme.

Oui c'est bien hdb. Normalement d'aprés les fdisk ça devrait être bon.

Que te mets t-il comme message d'erreur exactement le kernel panic ??

Vire "splash=silent" de la ligne append tu auras plus de messages.

Sinon pour que les choses soient claires montes la partition /dev/hdb1 avec le linux qui marche et renvoie le résultat de "ls -l /mnt/hdb1/boot".

Pour le passage sur le noyau 2.6.12-18mdk, il doit falloir réinstaller le driver de carte graphique. Cela doit être un soucis de ce côté là je pense.

je vais reinstaller le ati...run. ca c'est pas compliqué. m'enfin je l'avait déja fait. c'est parce que lorsque je solicite la machine dans certain cas et je n'ai pas pu faire de rapprochement, toute la machine se fige plus dee souris plus de clavier reboot obligatoire.

Pour ça pourrais tu poster le contenu du fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?? Et regardes aussi dans les logs (/var/log/syslog, /var/log/messages et /var/log/kern.log) pour voir si il y a des messages d'erreurs.


Sinon pour l'autre soucis tu peux essayer en mettant "initrd=initrd-2.6.12-12mdk.img" mais je ne pense pas que cela change grand chose.

Pour les messages du kernel panic, ils disent quoi ??

Les autres log messages et syslog sont énorme
peut t'on les détruire afin qu'il se génére automatiquement ou les vider de leur contenu, car i l y a beaucoup de choses inutile pour el probléme d'on on parle

Mais là tu utilises le driver "radeon" libre, il faut lancer "fglrxconfig" aprés les avoir installé les drivers propriètaire avec le .run pour modifier le xorg.conf.

Fais une sauvegarde du fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf avant de lancer "fglrxconfig".


Bon pour les logs ont va attendre d'avoir réglé ton probléme de lilo.

Quel sont les messages présents lors du "kernel panic" quand tu veux booter sur ton deuxième linux ???

Je vient de rebooter sur le linux2 et ca marche, alors dit moi ce que tu veux exactement?

plaisenterie,;-) je suis sur mon deuxiéme linux donc je voit pas ce que j'ai fait en fait.
J'ai mon APN autour du cou, j'allait faire une photo de mon écran pour le recopier aprés mais la surprise j'ai bien mon M2006 N°2.
Je vais refaire d'autre essai mais bon ca n'aurait pas du etre en principe un probleme, j'ai essayer il y a deux mois sans résultat.

il me semble avant un reboot tout a l'heure avoir été dans le center de controle configurer le comportement au démarage mais je n'ai rien changer mais ok> ok> et ok et puis voila.
Je te remercie, pour ta contribution, indisspensable pour ne pas faire trop de betise.

Non lilo il lui faut le chemin vers la partition pas le point de montage.

Mais apparemment il a réussi à booter donc il n'y a plus de probléme de ce côté là.

Pourtant si linux 2 est sur le 2ième disque (/dev/hdb) et que l'on construit un chargeur à partir du /etc/lilo.conf du linux 1 qui se trouve sur le disque 1 (/dev/hda) on doit avoir

Cette solution c'est pour pouvoir installer lilo depuis l'une ou l'autre des distributions, et donc avoir la même configuration de lilo sous les deux distributions.

Mais en pratique, et dans le cas de ce post. Cela n'est pas utile puisqu'il n'y a qu'une distribution d'utilisation courante donc on gére lilo à partir de cette distribution, et on n'installe pas lilo lors de l'install de la seconde (que gilbert à installer pour faire des tests) puis on modifie le lilo à partir de la première.

Et de toute façon vive grub. ^^D-*

Par exemple, j'ai installé PCLinuxOS et j'ai sauté l'étape du chargeur.
Ensuite dans mon /etc/lilo.conf de mandriva j'ai inséré:

image=/mnt/hdd5/boot/vmlinuz
label="pclinuxos"
root=/dev/hdd5
initrd=/mnt/hdd5/boot/initrd.img
append="noapic resume=/dev/hdd13 splash=silent"
vga=788
Et depuis mandriva j'ai généré un chargeur me permettant de booter sur PCLinuxOS.

Je ne sais plus si j'ai fait deux distributions avec lilo, il me semble que oui et je n'avais pas eu à préciser les chemins par rapport à /mnt pour pouvoir installer lilo Mais je me trompe peut être.

Enfin bon, moi je préfére grub c'est nettement plus flexible et simple je trouve.

Pour les choix dans "fglrxconfig" en général le choix spécifier par défaut (entre crochet) est bon, donc si tu ne sais pas quoi mettre tu appuie sur "Entrée" cela te laisseras le choix par défaut.

Il faudras quand même que tu mettes les bon paramètre pour les fréquences de l'écran (regarde dans la doc de ton écran pour savoir quoi mettre) et la résolution.

Fais et renvoie le résultat de :

lsmod | grep fglrx

Au fait pour les histoires de sources du kernel, ça correspond bien maintenant??
