Pourtant tu devrais avoir un résultat du style:
[admin@localhost admin]$ ifconfig -a
eth0 Lien encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:A4:xx:xx:xx
inet adr:192.168.127.241 Bcast:192.168.127.255 Masque:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:21703 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:18485 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 lg file transmission:100
RX bytes:22916078 (21.8 Mb) TX bytes:2441751 (2.3 Mb)
Interruption:11 Adresse de base:0x4000
lo Lien encap:Boucle locale
inet adr:127.0.0.1 Masque:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:2 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:2 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 lg file transmission:0
RX bytes:196 (196.0 b) TX bytes:196 (196.0 b)
Où eth0 est ta première interface ethernet, ethx interface ethernet X, ppp0 celle d'un modem, lo étant l'interface locale.
Sinon essaies ta commande en étant logger sous root.
